LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
ECO-Action will work with you to grow yourself or to develop leadership within your group. We not only “teach,” we foster a learning environment for people to acquire the knowledge, skills, insight, attitude and motivation to make a positive difference for their communities and organizations. We offer the following:
- Tailored training to meet identified leadership needs of members of community-based groups. You tell us what you need to learn that will further your work.
- Workshops focused on learning how to transfer what you learn to others. Choose from a variety of ½ day workshop to a full weekend of training based on our Training the Trainer Series. Seminars can be scheduled at any time for groups of 8-15. Topics include: Environmental and Political Education; Visioning For Social Change; Teaching Methods for Transferring Skills; Organizational Development & Beyond.
- Action Circles on providing leadership to promote policies such as the precautionary priniciple, toxic chemical reduction, public participation, open government, and accountability that works in the public interest.
- Mentoring, coaching and serving as a support system to leaders of community-based groups who continue to battle injustice. ECO-Action staff provides a support role and connects community leaders in a network.
